Mute Member

This command allows you to quickly and officially mute someone in your server!

The /mod mute command is used for muting users in your server (using Discord's timeout feature), which can be useful when a user is stirring trouble and needs a little time to cool down and read your server rules. This action is never permanent and will eventually expire, depending on the length you set for the mute (maximum 1 week).

This command sends a direct message to the target, officially informing them of the mute; logs a message in your server's logging channel; and records the mute in the target's punishment history, to be viewed at any time.

Muting a member applies a Discord 'timeout' to the user. They will still be able to view everything that they previously were in your server, they will simple be unable to interact (send messages, add reactions, interact with bots, etc).

Using the Command

  1. Type /mod mute into the textbox and choose Warden's command.

  2. Fill in the necessary details (target member, mute reason).

  3. Run the command by sending it. A log message will be sent to your main logging channel and a direct message will be sent to the target user.

The reason option in this command is optional, and the command will still work if sent without one. The user will be muted, sent a direct message notification, but won't see any reason.
